Invoice Bacon Guide

Business Information

First, go to My Business and enter your business details with Stripe. This gets things up and running.
Go to Business Information

Customers

Next, head over to My Customers and add your first customer. You're ready to start!
Go to Customers

Inventory

Visit My Inventory to manage your products and services. Add services you offer as non-consumable items and consumable items you use.
Go to Inventory

  • When you use consumables in an invoice, stock levels adjust automatically.
  • Set Low Alert Thresholds to get notified when stock is low.
  • Use Archive to hide items you no longer use.
Quotes

Create your first quote in My Quotes to start a transaction. Choose a customer, set an expiration date, and add your line items.
Go to Quotes

  • Add items from your inventory or use Custom Line Item for unique items.
  • Include notes or a detailed breakdown.
  • Offer discounts as a fixed amount or percentage.
  • Save as Draft or Save to get it ready to send.
Invoices

Creating invoices is similar to quotes. Go to My Invoices, choose a customer, set a due date, and add line items.
Go to Invoices

  • Add from inventory or use Custom Line Item.
  • Include notes or service details.
  • Add discounts if you'd like, then Save to finalize.
  • View, download, or email the invoice to your customer.
Dashboard

Check out your My Dashboard for an overview of your business.
Go to Dashboard

  • See your available and pending balances.
  • Totals for payments received and outstanding invoices.
  • Summaries of your Quotes and Invoices.
  • Click on any section to see more details.
Payment Settings

In Payment Settings, manage your payouts to your bank.
Go to Payment Settings

  • See available funds and past payouts.
  • Adjust payout settings as needed.
Invoice Statuses

  • Past Due Invoice is past its due date and payment is overdue.
  • Void Invoice has been voided and is no longer valid.
  • Draft Invoice is in draft status and not yet finalized.
  • Approved Invoice from an accepted quote, ready to finalize.
  • Open Invoice is open and awaiting payment.
  • Paid Invoice has been paid in full.
Go to Dashboard

Taxes

Manage your taxes in Tax Settings.
Go to Taxes

  • Set your default sales tax rate for all invoices and quotes.
  • Once set, automatically apply the tax rate to any line items on invoices and quotes.
